The aged cured ham "Il Poggetto" is a bone-in ham obtained from legs of 100% Italian pork, raised in Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. The salting is done by hand and the aging - of at least 12 months - takes place in our facility in Poggio a Caiano, Tuscany. Twelve months that can be tasted in the semi-sweet flavor and in the aroma released by the first slice. It is a ham with no added preservatives: only Italian pork, salt, and natural flavors. A choice that leaves room for time and the quality of the raw material. Gluten-free, lactose-free and free from milk derivatives. The whole cured ham of approximately 11 kg is suitable for delicatessens, catering, and slicing counters, but also for those who want to slice it fresh at home with a knife or slicer. Italian cured ham is best enjoyed sliced thin at the moment. Perfect as an appetizer with bread and cheeses, or as an ingredient in traditional Italian dishes. Our products have a long shelf life thanks to vacuum packaging, and each package displays the expiry date. Once opened, we recommend storing them in the refrigerator at between 0°C and +4°C and consuming them within a few days.

All products sold in our online shop are shipped in temperature-controlled boxes to guarantee the freshness and quality of the product all the way to your door. The cured meats are carefully packed inside thermal bags with synthetic food-grade gel, or using insulated packaging systems that maintain the correct temperature throughout transport. Shipments leave from Monday to Wednesday to avoid weekend storage delays.
